The LUNGSTRONG scholarship provides candidates half of the fundraising requirement towards entry to the 2023 Pan Mass Challenge, held the weekend of August 5th-6th. The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is the largest athletic fundraiser in the country, in which participants bike anywhere from 25 to 211 miles to raise money for Dana Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund in Boston, MA. Riders are required to fundraise a minimum amount of money to participate, 100% of which is donated to cancer treatment and research. This scholarship will cover half of that required amount, up to $3,000 per candidate, depending on which ride you select to complete. As a part of this scholarship, the riders will sign up for the PMC as a member of Team LUNGSTRONG, a group whose proceeds go directly to The Lowe Center of Thoracic Oncology within Dana Farber to support lung cancer research. 

 

By applying to this scholarship, you are committing to fundraising the remainder of the money required to participate in the PMC (up to $3,000), training for the ride, and participating as a member of Team LUNGSTRONG.

 

There are no requirements for this application, anyone can apply. Please submit your application by no later than January 27th 2023. Candidates will be selected by the LUNGSTRONG Board and notified by February 15th 2023.
