LUNGSTRONG LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE, UNVEILS NEW BRANDING
Amesbury, MA October 18, 2018— LUNGSTRONG, a nonprofit organization with the mission of funding innovative lung cancer research, announced today that it has launched its completely revamped website ‘lungstrong.org’. The new website offers a responsive design, easy navigation, and a new section called “Stories” whereby visitors can read real-life narratives from survivors and loved ones impacted by lung cancer.
Along with the website launch, LUNGSTRONG also unveiled its new logo, brand colors and tagline ‘Raising for Research’. The creation of a brand identity allows LUNGSTRONG to better communicate its message to the public and increase recognition; furthering its mission in funding lung cancer research to eradicate the disease.
The website and brand work was made possible through the generous donation of Usource, a Boston area energy advisory company. Since June, Usource’s marketing director Jillian Carter, and marketing coordinator Gabrielle Morrison, worked on LUNGSTRONG’s social media presence, email marketing and complete website redesign. All marketing support and efforts are estimated to have saved the nonprofit organization over $7,000.
“As a nonprofit, we want to maximize the amount of money that goes to lung cancer research, therefore trying to raise money for a new website wasn’t really an option.” said Diane Legg, Founder and President of LUNGSTRONG. “Because of the generosity and skills of the Usource team, our new website and marketing initiatives better position us to increase awareness of our organization and achieve our mission.”
“Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States by far. Despite this, funding for research has lagged behind that for other cancers. LUNGSTRONG is an incredible organization just down the street from us, having an outsized impact funding amazing scientific research in our larger Boston community. LUNGSTRONG fits with our belief that we can act locally to positively impact large, complex challenges.” said Scott MacDonald, Managing Director of Usource.
LUNGSTRONG is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 2011 with the purpose of funding innovative lung cancer research. Since its inception, LUNGSTRONG has helped fund over $3,00,000 in lung cancer research. 100% of donations goes to support the research efforts at Massachusetts General Cancer Center and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
